Im trying to figure it out... But in the mean time, im a recent PR graduate enjoying my time (while looking for a job) Blogging and writing.
Three things I learned last night at the gym! 1- going to the gym, will be apart of your life forever! 2. I have a lot of working out to do. 3. There are skinny-fat people!
Going to the gym is forever- Sounds weird, right? Well if you think about it its totally true. I have been on a diet roller-coaster, my whole life. For awhile, I was healthy and a great weight, but that coincided with walking three miles everyday and eating right! But as I slowly stopped my walking and began partying more in college, my weight and lifestyle reflected it! I love running and walking, its something I’ve done my whole life and its weird that I can barely run/let alone walk, a mile without dying! Which leads to my next point
I have a lot of working out to do. My stamina and strength is gone! But, its ok! Im going to regain it! You have to work for the body you want, sooooo true! I always hated hearing people say that, but yet again, so true! Being jealous of people with nice bodies, doesnt get you anywhere! If you want it, go get it! Also, just because a person if skinny, doesnt mean they are healthy…
There are skinny-fat people. When my trainer told me this, I sorta rolled my eyes, but he was serious! He told me that, some people who are “genetically” skinny, (NOTE : THIS DOESNT APPLY TO ALL GENETICALLY SKINNY PEOPLE, I don’t want to offend anyone, thats not my intention) But, that some people who are naturally skinny aren’t the healthiest people!? WHY? Because they eat anything they want, without gaining weight, so they’re more inclined to continue, their unhealthy eating habits, which makes them a a higher risk than “FAT” people. Unlike, “obese/fat” people, we know we can’t keep eating bad foods because we “see” the results.
My trainer asked me what my goals where, I instantly said to lose 80 lbs! He was smiled, and said no, (gentleman?) Ill admit , as soon as he said that I wanted to shut my ears and not listen, but I didn’t. He explained that I can in fact lose 80 lbs doing cardio. But, it wont help me keep it off long, I need to work on building muscle too. Muscle will constantly burn fat. So my new goal, is to lose weight but build muscle, and—- focus more on the inches I’m losing not the lbs.
I want to post my weight and everything on here, but I must say Im a very embarrassed. I will soon though, Im trying to gain more confidence in this slice of my life. So, bare with me:) I think once im down 10 lbs, ill put up my starting picture and weight !
